The 100th Anniversary Bonus Concert was a celebration in period costume of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio and Matinée Musicale Cincinnati (MMC) as we each reached our 100th year in concert.
This exceptional program of music and dance on September
30, 2012 at the Anderson Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, was a huge success. Thanks to all the
dancers and musicians for a very special centennial presentation.
Donald Hurd, MMC board member and program chairman, was organizer of
this event. Here are collaborative performers: Joan Cavally, flutist, with Mr. Hurd, pianist.
An Afternoon of Music and Dance
honoring the memory of
Louise Dieterle Nippert
Our performance in tandem was presented on September 30, 2012 at the Anderson Center in Cincinnati. Matinée Musicale's professional instrumental and vocal musicians performed dance music while the professional dancers proceeded to grace the stage in beautiful choreography.
Before the show began there was a slide presentation of photos in a selection of outstanding talented musicians appearing under our auspices during the past 100 years. The histories of the organizations from 1912 to 2012 by Matinée Musicale president Nancy Walker and Arthur Murray's Directors Jeremy and Desirée Mainous gave the audience insight into the vast array of dances and performing artists.
