98th Concert Season for 2010-2011

The Matinee Musicale Cincinnati 98th Concert Season presented four outstanding performances including two pianists, a cellist, and two guitarists.

After each concert there was a reception for you to meet each performing artist. Members' delectable pastries provided guests and artists with special refreshments in their honor.

Our opening concert, which took place Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mayerson Jewish Community Center, 8485 Ridge Road, featured highly regarded very talented pianist Alessio Bax.

The season continued:

➢ Thursday, November 18, at 11:00 A.M. when highly acclaimed Israeli cellist Amit Peled, with his piano accompanist Eli Kalman, performed at the Anderson Center, 7850 Five Mile Road. Mr. Peled brought us to our feet more than once as he presented encores to an energetic and appreciative audience. He is an exceptional cellist "having the flair of the young Rostropovich" (American Record Guide) Amit Peled

➢ Sunday, March 13, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Unitarian Church, 536 Linton, the Beijing Duo, two outstanding female guitarists Yameng Wang and Ming Su, presented an outstanding program. The Guitar Society of Fine Art said the Beijing Guitar Duo "create what is sure to be one of the most exciting guitar duos on the scene today". Meng Su and Yameng Wang

➢ Thursday, April 7, at 11:00 A.M. at the Anderson Center, international competition pianist and recording artist who won the "Gold Medal at the Eleventh Van Cliburn International Piano Competition" Olga Kern
