Joshua Bell and Other 75th Anniversary Stars at MMC
Joshua Bell was one of our young up and coming violinists for Matinee Musicale Cincinnati. During the years between 1981 and 1986 we were honored to have many accomplished prodigies perform on our concert series'. In addition we were supporting more seasoned performers.
After many return engagements by popular demand of John Alexander, tenor who became a Metropolitan Opera star, we brought him back in 1983 and 1985. Flutists Ransom Wilson and Elizabeth Brown also delighted our audiences.
Misha and Cipa Dichter inspired us all with their piano duo performance. Many concert artists in piano, instrumental and vocal performances continued to put Matinee Musicale in high regard in Cincinnati.
* Until 1928, first Cincinnati appearances were not noted ono recital programs; but it is likely that many of the artists presented in those early years were, in fact, Cincinnati debuts. All artists whose names are preceded by an "*" are verified first appearances.
